Friday nights are a guitar party night playing a wide range of guitar based music crossing genres and time lines : from cutting edge new stuff like MGMT, Vampire Weekend via indie superstars Stone Roses, Primal Scream through electro like Justice, Does It Offend You Yeah and Pendulum to more well known retro guitar stars like Blondie, Buzzcocks, Specials, Beatles and alternative rock tunes like Biffy Clyro, Foo Fighters and Fallout boy.
You can check Zoe Urchins DJ history at the website above. After moving to London to run a comic book store where fate had her arrange Jamie Hewlett and Damon Alban to come together for a signing , who then went on to form Gorillaz.
Among DJing many other central London alternative nights, Zoe came to the forefront of the genre as resident DJ at Club X at the Astoria one of two clubs that founded London's alternative club scene.

Bit of history, DJ Zoe Urchin has always been at the forefront of the alternative music scene first in Liverpool running fanzines, writing for the music press and roadying for bands and then in London working at the original Marquee, running a comic book store whose claim to fame is that it was where Jamie Hewlett and Damon Alban met, brought togther for a signing and went on to form Gorillaz. Zoe was resident DJ at Club X at the Astoria and Astoria 2 - these clubs were London's original founding alternative nights 14 years ago.
She then established the Metro Club as an alternative venue and starting up ground breaking Beautiful people night as well as the critically acclaimed Indie Pounder. She was at the forefront of mixing up and even playing out in clubs a mix of genres including nu-metal, emo and ska-punk alongside traditional indie, retro and 60's and new school indie with even a bit of classic rock and hip hop but has since calmed down and seperated her schizophrenic musical tastes into sperate nights!
